Before actually applying for a job, you can explore the options offered at the UMC Utrecht in more detail. Extensive information is available on the website, but you are of course also welcome to call our free job information line (available on working days from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) 0800-2500025 (only available within the Netherlands).
When you send us a job application, it comes into our central Personnel & Organization office. They make sure it ends up in the right place in the organization. We send you a confirmation that your application has been received as soon as possible and let you know about any steps that will happen next. If you are invited for an initial interview, it will generally be conducted with your potential future manager and a colleague. In some cases, a P&O advisor will also sit in on the interview, or a second interview will be conducted. For some jobs, you may be asked to take a psychological test.
Certificate of Good Behavior
Before making the definitive decision about a job application, the UMC Utrecht requires a Certificate of Good Behavior (abbreviated to VOG in Dutch). This certificate is issued by the Dutch Minister of Justice after a check shows that you have not committed any offenses that would prevent you from being allowed to do the job in question. You will receive an application form from your employer (UMC Utrecht). You can apply for a VOG by submitting a completed application form to the Population/Public Affairs Department of the municipality where you are registered in the Municipal Personal Records Database.
