As a project manager for international public-private research projects funded by the Innovative Medicines Initiative (IMI), H2020 and other funding sources you are responsible for the day-to-day project management of multiple complex and dynamic projects. In practice this would require a successful candidate to work on several projects simultaneously. Within the organisation we have a small team of junior project managers who you will work closely with.
The main duties are: management of assigned projects by ensuring they are executed at the highest possible quality level. You will assure compliance with funding agency requirements, work in close collaboration with the scientific project leader and other team members, as well as other support staff. You coordinate all non-scientific, administrative, financial and legal management of the network and project activities. You maintain an effective communication between the consortium partners, and the EU. You support, monitor and guard a smooth, effective and timely execution of the project plan and its budget. You are able to shift between tasks and keep oversight on priorities. You know when to align with other internal and external stakeholders.
The project manager will become a member of the project management team working on the IMI2 projects GetReal Initiative, BigData@Heart, ConcePTION and Trials@Home.

We are looking for a project manager with knowledge of and experience in Horizon 2020/IMI2 projects. You have a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in project management of complex international research projects in an academic setting. We are looking for a colleague with an excellent ability to multi-task and solve problems, who is pro-active and can judge independently, enjoys working in a team, has excellent communication and inter-personal skills. A professional and reliable person who can work in a multi-cultural environment and can establish and maintain harmonious cooperation in complex internal and external setting with diverse stakeholders. Our new colleague has a good eye for detail and is structured and well-organized. Good oral and written command of English is required and of Dutch preferred. You are willing to perform both high and low level tasks in the relevant projects; you are service-oriented towards the academic staff, willing to occasionally travel abroad, to work against the deadlines and towards solutions.
Het salaris voor deze 100% functie bedraagt maximaal € 4.481,00 bruto per maand op basis van een fulltime dienstverband (werkweek van 36 uur). Het betreft een tijdelijke aanstelling voor Temporary appointment for 1 year with intention to extend.
